Canadian Experience Class
Minimum Requirements for Canadian Experience Class
Canadian Experience Class(CEC) is a good choice of immigration program for people who have finished their post-secondary study in Canada and have worked for at least one year under the post graduate work permit(PGWP). The minimum requirements of CEC are
- Meet the required levels in English or French: CLB 7 in all language abilities for NOC skill type 0 or skill level A work experience, and CLB 5 in all language abilities for NOC skill level B work experience
- Have at least 1 years paid full-time work experience (1560 hours or an equivalent amount of part-time work experience) within the last 3 years before application in a NOC skill type 0, skill level A or skill level B occupation
- Work experience is gained by working in Canada on a temporary status with authorization to work
- Intent to live outside of Quebec
The work experience does not have to be continuous, however it can not be gained as self-employment or as a full-time student.
Valid Job Offer
Like FSW program, CEC applicants who wish to increase their CRS points can do it through obtaining a job offer. To be qualified as a valid job offer, it must
- be made by one employer
- be continuous, non-seasonal, full-time (at least 30 hours/week) occupation in NOC 0,A or B
- be for at least one year after permanent resident visa is issued
- be supported by a positive LMIA or be a job offer to the applicant who has already been working in Canada on the position that was exempt from an LMIA and does not require a new LMIA if the employer extends a job offer to the applicant for at least one year after the applicant receives permanent resident visa
